For the long vacation I visited a friend (Jayanth) in Mangalore and we decided to travel to Goa and visit an off-beat location called Dudhsagar waterfall. The Dudhsagar waterfall travel experience deserves a separate post.

Since I traveled a lot on the train and as I passed many stations, tunnels, bridges, waterways, scenic mountains and dense jungles on my train route, I feel it appropriate to publish a post on the various scenes one normally witnesses in such a journey.

>Dudhsagar is a very green scenic area, I should also to sometime here. I think while returning from goa via belgaum may be we travelled via dudhsagar, not sure if it is the same in the pic 🙂

>Does the train stop at Yedakumeri? And at Dudhsagar?

anoop · 4 Oct ’09 at 7:07 pm

>vishwa: yup, its the same waterfall. Dudhsagar is the last station in Goa before entering into Belgaum in Karnataka.

Arun: the train does stop at Yedakumari, but yedakumari is on the route from Hassan to Mangalore. Trains originating from Goa don't stop at Dudhsagar but the ones from Karnataka do stop.
